Camden Hawkins's Strong Eye Leads LMS Gold Past ZWMS 8th Grade Eagles

A walk by Noah Adams put LMS Gold on the board in the top of the first. ZWMS 8th Grade Eagles flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring eight runs on six hits to take the lead, 8-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a ground out by Brooks Kampen that drove in two. LMS Gold flipped the game on its head in the top of the fourth, scoring eight runs on three hits to take the lead, 12-8. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Adams that drove in two. Adams earned the win for LMS Gold. The reliever allowed one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out two and walking one. Maddox Shafer took the loss for ZWMS 8th Grade Eagles. The starting pitcher went two and one-third innings, surrendering four runs (three earned) on four hits, striking out none and walking two. Roman Moore started on the bump for LMS Gold. The pitcher allowed six hits and eight runs over one inning, striking out none and walking two. Camron Venis appeared in relief for LMS Gold. Adams went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. Venis, LMS Gold's number eight hitter, led the team with two hits in three at-bats. Hawkins paced LMS Gold with four walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, piling up 13 walks for the game. Hawkins and Adams each stole multiple bases for LMS Gold. Next up for LMS Gold is a game at Delphi
